This event is brand new for us — and we could not be more excited to bring our mission to the heart of horse country. Our volunteers will be on-site to introduce you to our adoptable pups, walk you through the adoption and foster process, and answer every question you have.
Whether you are ready to adopt, curious about fostering, or just want to show your love for rescue dogs with some HFG gear, there is something here for the whole family. Come say hello, meet the dogs, and soak up a truly special day.

How to Prepare for On-Site Dog Adoption
- Submit an Adoption Application. Before attending, complete the online adoption application on our website so you are ready to move forward.
- Get Pre-Approved. To adopt at the event, you must have a provisional pre-approval. Apply early to avoid any delays.
- Bring the Whole Family. All household members must attend, including any resident dogs. This step helps ensure the best possible match.
