Meet Howard Stephan and his family—lifelong dog lovers, two-time adopters from Home For Good Dog Rescue, and now dedicated foster heroes.
“At first, we just wanted to give back,” Howard shares. “We started by volunteering at adoption events and transport days. But it wasn’t long before we opened our hearts and home to fostering—and we haven’t looked back.”
Since taking the leap, Howard and his family have helped well over 50 dogs on their journey from uncertainty to unconditional love. Each pup they fostered found the safety, comfort, and care needed to heal and thrive before moving on to their forever homes.
“People always ask how we can let them go,” Howard says. “Of course it’s hard—but knowing we helped save a life and seeing our former fosters living happy, loved lives makes it all worth it. And every goodbye means we can say hello to helping another.”
