Celebrating the Honor of Winning a Subaru Loves Pets Grant
We are thrilled and deeply honored to be selected as a recipient of a Subaru Loves Pets grant! This national initiative provides vital support to animal welfare organizations, helping shelters care for more dogs, increase adoptions, and advance life-saving programs.
Receiving this grant is not only a tremendous recognition of our work but also a powerful boost to our mission. It allows us to:

Expand our capacity to care for dogs, including senior, long-stay, and special-needs pets

Cover essential veterinary care, transport, and adoption preparation

Special Adoption Event — October 18, 2025
As part of this exciting partnership, Open Road Subaru of Union, NJ will host a special adoption event with Home for Good Dog Rescue on October 18.
This event will be full of adoptable dogs, community fun, and Subaru-themed pet giveaways — an incredible opportunity to meet your next furry family member and celebrate National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.

National Make a Dog’s Day — October 22
Following the adoption event, we’ll celebrate #MakeADogsDay on October 22, highlighting the dogs whose lives were changed, along with the volunteers and adopters who made it possible. Every adoption, volunteer hour, and donation helps us make a dog’s day — every day.
